Viss me hadde teke med talefiler for alle språka som er støtta, hadde installasjonsprogrammet teke opp altfor stor plass. Og dei fleste brukarane er berre interesserte i talestøtte for morsmålet sitt. Dei ekstra bileta og bakgrunnsmusikken tek òg opp mykje plass, men er ikkje nødvendige for å kunna bruka GCompris. For å minimera storleiken på installasjonsprogrammet har me derfor valt å ikkje ta med desse, men heller la brukarane lasta dei ned direkte frå programmet om ønskjeleg.
If you don't want the software to download anything automatically, you can disable the option "Enable automatic downloads/updates of external assets" in the main configuration page.
IMPORTANT: for GCompris versions older than 4.0, you need to replace "data3" with "data2" in all instructions below.
IMPORTANT: from GCompris version 4.0, we added the date of the last update in the .rcc filenames. So you need to look in the "Contents" files what is the name of the latest one before downloading it. For example: backgroundMusic-ogg-2024-03-19-11-10-30.rcc . For older versions, the filenames don't contain the date. Example: backgroundMusic-ogg.rcc
VIKTIG: I rettleinga nedanfor må du byta ut «-codecName» med «-mp3» for Windows-system, «-ogg» for Linux- og Android-system og «-aac» for macOS-system. Byt òg ut «-localeCode» med rett språkkode. The name GCompris sounds like "J'ai compris" in French, which means "I understand" in English. Also, the G stands for GNU.
Alt innhaldet og alle avhengnadar er tilgjengelege under lisensar kompatible med AGPLv3.
Krava for å byggja og offentleggjera appar for iOS er ikkje kompatible med lisensane som GCompris brukar, GPLv3 og AGPLv3.
For Android er programmet alt tilgjengeleg på Google Play Store og F-Droid, og det er for mykje arbeid å gjera det tilgjengeleg i andre appbutikkar.
